On Tuesday, Jan. 10, TSA officers at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks found a replica of a Flintlock pistol that had been retooled into a key hook in the bag, according to a tweet by TSA New England spokesman Dan Velez.
The woman was eventually allowed to bring the pistol replica on her plane in her checked bag, Velez added.
The incident at Bradley is the second one in the same week involving a key hook resembling a firearm, as a similar incident happened at Logan International Airport in Boston on Monday, Jan. 9 when TSA officials caught a cast-iron key hook that looked like a gun in a woman's carry-on bag.
"Place items like these in your checked bag please!" Velez said.
